About us

MyActive was started in 2008 by Charles Pritchard as a division of Entelect Software with the purpose of developing product based online solutions for sports events, clubs, professional institutions and organisations requiring complex self-service content delivery on their websites. Through years of experience in providing software solutions in these areas, our product suite and the overall value proposition to clients has matured, to the point where MyActive was spun off into a separate business as of February 2020. MyActive is 100% owned by ServeSA Communities and the Light of Home Homes and Schools not-for-profit charities, which focus on housing, feeding, educating and uplifting those in need. We are proud to say that, by virtue of our ownership structure, all proceeds of this business go towards assisting and uplifting impoverished South Africans.

Event Management

MyActive Event Manager is an easy to use yet sophisticated, feature-rich event entry management solution with full e-commerce capability. A host of features ensure a functionally rich experience for participants and event organisers. Features can be enabled or disabled making the solution suitable for events of any size and type. Ranging from multiple pricing options for entry fees to event customisable tickets with QR code scanning, to managing participant databases and communicating with them through our built in SMS and email communications gateway, MyActive Event Manager will meet most organisers eventing requirements.

Membership Management

MyActive Member Manager offers clubs, institutions and professional associations with an online member registration and payment platform. Features include customisable forms to cater for different membership types, document uploads, member authentications, membership fee management and communication. MyActive Membership Manager can be linked to a client’s own website or as an integrated solution with MyActive Web Manager.

MyActive Web Manager offers sophisticated back-office management of content and graphic-rich websites. The feature-rich back office allows admin users to manage, publish and categorise their website content, manage online subscribers and send communication through newsletters and newsflashes. Other features include customisable event calendars, galleries, article theming and keyword search facilities.

The unique Directories feature allows for the creation of relational database-based content capture for a truly dynamic and SEO friendly online web experience, allowing for sophisticated user experiences, with advanced forms, templates, listings and directories creation.

MyActive Communications Manager is a simple yet powerful solution for clients seeking a more cost-effective way to send and track bulk email and SMS communications to their subscribers or members. The solution can be offered as a standalone module or integrated to our Web Manager or Event Manager products. The Communication Manager allows for the creation of your own newsletters and news flash notifications through a user-friendly interface and content editor as well as basic tracking and delivery reporting. Create your own custom templates or use standard templates provided. MyActive offers in-house design and customisation of templates.

Communication campaigns to subscribers and client databases can be tailored, through simple categorisation or email lists. Uploading and maintaining databases are effectively managed through our easy to use back-office facility.

For our eventing clients the built-in bulk email and SMS communications module can be used to send communication to all participants or groups of participants at any stage of the entry process. Event organisers can upload spreadsheet-based marketing databases or send communication across multiple event databases to their own current or past participants.
