Free State Dash JHB-BLOEM 2017

General Description:

This race takes place at the same time as the 1000 miler and riders of the Free Sate Dash will start with the 1000 miler riders. The race is approximately 450 kilometers in length. The riders have from 05h00 1st July until 18h00 on the 3rd of July to complete the distance via the compulsory checkpoints with the cut off on the 3rd of July at 18h00.

The addition of the Free State Dash is to allow riders to race between two great cities in a shorter format, and to assist riders who want to ride our longer races but are not sure if they can manage the distances or the adventure. The route will take riders from Thaba trails towards Heilbron and onto Edenville. Then heading towards Winberg and Bloemfontein. The suggested route will be a mixture of tar road and dirt road. Riders are supplied with a suggested route to ride in the form of GPX tracks and a route narrative of the suggested route.
